What ages does The Train Station serve?
Children from about 18 months through Young Fives: Toddlers (18 months to 2½), Preschool 2½ to 3s, Preschool and Pre-K for potty-trained children, and a Young Fives class for the year before Kindergarten.
Is The Train Station a Christian preschool?
Yes. The school is operated by Brightmoor Christian Church and teaches from a biblical worldview. Prayer, short Bible lessons and songs are part of every week, and the curriculum has Bible integration throughout. Families do not need to attend Brightmoor to enroll.
Where is the preschool?
On the Brightmoor Christian Church campus at 40800 W 13 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377. The classrooms and office are on the second floor of the Novi Christian Academy wing. Enter on the east side of the building through the doors marked C. Map and directions.
What days and hours are you open?
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Instruction runs from 8:00 or 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM depending on the program. Children are not admitted after 10:00 AM, and each child may attend up to nine consecutive hours a day.
What schedule options are there?
Two, three, four or five days a week. Toddlers and Preschool have a two-day minimum; Pre-K (PK and PK+) has a three-day minimum. The academic year runs September to May and a separate summer enrichment program runs June to August.
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Not to start. Toddlers and Preschool 2½ to 3s welcome children who are not yet potty trained. Preschool (PS and PS+) and Pre-K are for potty-trained children, and children are expected to be fully toilet trained by the time they are in the PS+ class.
What does a typical day include?
Across the week every classroom has Bible and prayer time, circle time, music and movement, academics, daily art, active play and two snacks, tuned to the age of the children. Families pack lunch; the school provides a morning and an afternoon snack. See what fills the day.

Children are taught in small groups by age and ability: phonics-first reading, then handwriting and early math, alongside the social, emotional and cognitive skills that make a child a confident learner. Children leave having been taught the basics of reading, writing and math.
What curriculum do you use?
Abeka, a Christian academic curriculum that teaches reading phonics first and builds strong foundations through practice and drill. Children leave having been taught the basics of reading, writing and math, with Bible lessons woven through the week.
Can I tour the school, and should I bring my child?
Yes and yes. Visitors are welcome from 7:30 to 9:30 AM on school days. An appointment is required so a staff member is free to show you around, and we urge you to bring your child. Book a tour online or call the office at 248-668-7035.
What if a class is full?
Space varies by classroom and by the days you need. Ask the office what is open now and what is likely to open, and apply early.

Tuition and applying

What does tuition cost?
Tuition depends on the program and how many days a week your child attends. For 2026 to 2027, academic-year tuition for potty-trained Preschool and Pre-K ranges from $4,950 (two days, Preschool only) to $11,340 (five days). Toddlers and Preschool 2½ to 3s range from $5,760 to $13,140. See every rate, including summer.
What other fees are there?
A $50 non-refundable application fee for every student and a $150 non-refundable enrollment fee for new families. Late tuition (after the fifteenth of the month) carries a $50 fee, and pick-up after 6:00 PM is billed at $15 per fifteen minutes.
How do I apply?
Online, through FACTS. Start the application. The $50 application fee is paid with it.
What documents are required before my child starts?
An Application for Enrollment, a Child Information Record with emergency information, the State of Michigan Health Appraisal Form completed by your doctor, the Child Placement Contract, and the Parent Handbook agreement form. The first month’s tuition and the enrollment fee are also due before the first day. Download the forms.
How is tuition paid?
Tuition is divided into two terms, academic and summer. Pay a term in full before the first day or in equal monthly payments through FACTS. Monthly fees are due on the first school day of each month.
Can we take a vacation without paying for the week?
Yes, within limits. Tuition is adjusted for up to three weeks off during the academic program and two weeks during summer, taken in full-week segments, with two weeks’ written notice to the director. No credit is given for sick days, snow days or partial weeks.

How do I get into FACTS?
Sign in to FACTS to manage tuition payments and your family account. For help with your account, call the office at 248-668-7035.
How do I report an absence?
Call 248-668-7035 and leave a message on or before the day of the absence.
What if my child is sick?
Children with a fever, rash or diarrhea cannot attend. A child with a suspected communicable disease stays home until it is no longer contagious. If a child becomes ill at school, a parent is contacted and must arrange immediate pick-up.
Who can pick up my child?
Only the people authorized on your registration form. Staff will ask anyone they do not recognize for photo ID, and older siblings may not sign children out. Children are signed in every morning and signed out every afternoon.
What happens if I am late for pick-up?
The school closes at 6:00 PM. Pick-up after 6:00 PM is billed at $15 for every fifteen minutes or part of one, and the charge is added to the monthly bill. Habitual lateness can affect enrollment.
How are weather closures handled?
The school closes for inclement weather as needed. No credit is given for snow days.
Can I change my child’s schedule?
Yes, with two weeks’ written notice, as long as space is available. Contact the office to start.
