About Train Station

Twenty-five years of first days.

The Train Station Preschool opened in 2000 as a service of Brightmoor Christian Church with one aim: a safe, wholesome and friendly place where young children learn basic pre-kindergarten skills through a Christ-centered curriculum. Twenty-five years on, that is still the whole idea.

Our mission

Three goals, unchanged since the beginning.

The handbook families receive today says the same thing the first families heard in 2000. Train Station exists to do three things well.

  1. 01

    Christ-centered instruction

Children are taught through a Christ-centered curriculum, with prayer, Bible lessons and songs woven through the week.

  2. 02

    A safe, wholesome, friendly place

An environment where children learn social skills and how to be with other children.

  3. 03

    Basic pre-kindergarten skills

The opportunity to learn the foundations of reading, writing and math, in small groups by age and ability.

  4. And underneath

    The whole child

Spiritual, academic, emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth, treated as one job rather than six.

Christian identity

Operated by Brightmoor, taught from the Bible.

Train Station is operated by Brightmoor Christian Church and shares its campus at 13 Mile Road. Everything here is taught from a biblical worldview: short Bible lessons, prayer and songs are part of every week, and the way teachers guide behavior reflects God’s Word.

Families do not need to be part of Brightmoor to enroll. Many are; many are not. What every family gets is the same warm, consistent, Christ-centered day.

The Brightmoor family

Brightmoor also operates Novi Christian Academy, a K-12 Christian school on the same campus. Train Station is the first door; Novi Christian Academy is a natural next chapter for families who want to continue in Christian education.

The place

Real classrooms, on a real campus.

The preschool classrooms and office are on the second floor of the Novi Christian Academy wing of Brightmoor Christian Church, with their own entrance on the east side of the building through the doors marked C.
